Author's notes:

This is map uses C_A_P's Evergreen tileset. I've voided
the sides of the walls so, units (especially the commander) can't
just walk over them. However, the tops of the walls CAN be built on.

 ** NOTE: **
You need version 8.0 (or higher) of the 'tamec.hpi' file (not included
in the zip file) to be installed to use this map. Otherwise, you'll get
'features missing' errors. If you haven't downloaded it, the current
version is in the Resources section of TAMEC. (http://www.tamec.org)

Additional notes:

A few comments have been made about the roads not going to the
bridges. That was done on purpose. The tribes on the west side don't get
along with the tribes on the east side. As a result, the west side tribes
are connected by a road and the east side tribes are connected by a road
but, the east and west sides are not connected by roads, only by bridges.

Version 2.0 changes:

I've made a few changes in this version to (hopefully) make
the map more enjoyable. Here they are:

  - Added several more metal patches.
  - Added 2 new bridges (top and bottom of map).
  - Fixed height problems at the bases of the stone head wall sections.
  - Added more features in the 'empty' areas.

Notes about the AI Profile:

This map was designed for multiplayer games but, the AI works fairly
well too. I inserted my own AI profile for this map that seems to fight a
little better than the Cavedog AI. It has only one setting so, setting the
difficulty level will have no effect. However, the AI doesn't seen to know
how to take advantage of the walls (I'm sure that's no big surprise).

The story:

The world of Alder was primative by many standards. The native
tribes lived in walled villages with only crude spears and bows for weapons.
At least until the war between the Arm and Core came to Alder. Some villages
were absorbed by the Core while others joined the Arm. Now with new, advanced
weapons and a new reason to fight, war has again erupted between the tribes
of Alder.
